Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship (HB 1133)
Passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Sonny Perdue on May 14, 2008, the Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship program (HB 1133) allows individual corporate citizens to receive an income tax credit for donations to student scholarship organizations (SSOs). These SSOs will then use these donations to grant scholarships for public school students to attend the qualified private school of their parent's choice.
Please note: Neither the State of Georgia nor the Center for an Educated Georgia grant scholarships.

Selecting a SSO
Student scholarship organizations (SSO) are the point-of-contact for Tuition Tax Credit scholarships. All organizations have their own application process and eligibility requirements. Finding a Private School
Finding a school that is eligible to accept students using a Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship can be a daunting task. While some SSOs allow students to use their scholarship at any school, others only allow scholarships to be used at certain schools. Be sure to ask your SSO about this.
